Pallet bed DIY
In the early 1920s, shortly after the invention of the modern forklift, the sled evolved into cargo pallets to revolutionise the way the goods were collected, stored and shipped.
Today, pallets are used differently as furniture pieces, such as floor tables, chairs, etc.
The simple design and the untreated wood reflect a style that is consistent with the modern and industrial impression and suitable for many other styles and pieces.
I needed a new bed for my sister room, I thought trying to make the bed is an interesting idea!
Here is what you need
27 pieces of 1×2
3 pieces of 1×4
6 pieces of 2×4
* If you have a nail gun you can use it instead of the wood screws.
** you can use handsaw if the circular saw is not available.
The first step is to cut the wood to the right size, the size used is for a double bed measuring 190 × 135
Glue 2 pieces of 2×4 with wood glue and use clamps to ensure that it does not move for half an hour until it completely dry
For the support beams, cut the 1×4 wood to the width of 135cm, then place it as across bar on top middle and bottom of the base
Using screws or nails to secure 2x1 wood evenly as a last step
